1. General

Control4 is used to control devices using remote controls. .There are 2 drivers available: * Master driver * Zone driver

The trivum drivers support the trivum trace tool for further information.

If you are interested in testing our drivers, please send an email with your request to info@trivum.com.

1.1. Versions

The current implementation version is a preliminary version.

1.2. Current status of the drivers

The current drivers supports all the trivum multiroom devices:
  • FLEX

  • DESIGN

  • REG

  • PRO

The user can use the trivum actions and the trivum full menu. Even searching music is supported. Coverart, playqueue etc. is also supported in the now playing screen of Control4. Volume +/- and sliders. Muting. Power off - this should all work.

Grouping is supported using the method of Control4 grouping. Therefore there is no trivum grouping menu available.

The trivum MusicCenter software supports SDDP (if Control4 is enabled). With SDDP, it is possible to discover the trivum devices inside Control4 Composer. Users can add the trivum drivers using SDDP. Because of SDDP, the driver is then already fully configured.

Without SDDP, the user has to select the MusicCenter in the trivum Control4 master driver. And he has to specify for each trivum Control zone driver, which trivum zone should be used.

1.3. What is not supported (right now)

These features are currently not supported. But will perhaps be supported in the future:
  • Alarm settings in the menu

  • Sleep settings in the menu

  • Sound settings in the menu

  • option menu in the now playing screen. So e.g. favorite handling etc. is currently not possible

  • Control4 variables

  • Control4 commands

  • NEEO remote does not show the now playing screen correctly. We’re working on this together with Control4.

1.4. License and Support

trivum provides its Control4 drivers free of charge. Within the scope of our support, we try to eliminate possible errors promptly.

The user has no claim to the correct function or a certain range of functions. trivum reserves the right at all times to extend, modify or remove functions between the versions. As far as it is possible for us to keep the package constant, develop it further and correct any errors. This is done without any obligation. If you use the NodeRed package from trivum, you agree with this procedure.
